TBR

Hello everyone!

I had a HARD time trying to decide which books I wanted to read in April, and I honestly will probably only get to like 2 of them so it doesn't even really matter anyway... but I like making lists so. Just so I can make this at least slightly attainable, I am limiting myself to four books (this is going to be a crazy month with three papers, three exams, and a shadowing day with a magazine editor). I cannot wait to read more, I miss it so much. Every time I pick up a book it's so hard to put it down.

I also feel like having a TBR will make my need to read feel more real, and not like I'm procrastinating homework (which I still may be doing).

Anyways, these are the books I want to read throughout the Month of April:

FallingKingdoms

Falling Kingdoms by Morgan Rhodes

I started this book at the end of last month, but I am loving it and really want to finish it soon! I love the rich world, and the characters already feel so developed and I'm only at page 200.

We follow three main characters in four different, but connected, lands and walks of life - there is a prince, a sorceress, a princess, and a peasant seeking revenge. As all of their worlds become intertwined, their fates force them to squabble for power.

Enchantment_of_Ravens

An Enchantment of Ravens by Margaret Rogerson

I need more fae books in my life, and I received this book for Christmas from my parents, so I am going to start with this one. I love the background of the fae unable to create woks of art, so they rely on the humans - it is nice to see the supernatural rely on the comparatively "weak."

In this novel there is a mortal, Isobel, who is an incredibly skilled painter, and is hired to paint the autumn prince. However, she paints mortal fear in the prince's eyes, and the mistake sends her away to the autumn court to await her trial.

Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern

I had started this book a while ago, but I just was not hooked like I was expecting to be. I heard so many amazing things about this novel, though, so I am DETERMINED to finish it. The magical circus aspect, as well as the writing, was enchanting and whimsical so I really hope I can get into it.

Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh

The sequel for this book is going to be released in June I believe, so I'm really hoping I can beat the release and finish it this month. I also really adore Renee Ahdieh's writing - she's so empowering in her words and her stories are so unique and cultural.

It follows Marika, the daughter of a samurai (hence the awesome ninja stars), who is raised for marriage and nothing regardless of her talents. On her way to meet her betrothed, she is attacked, and as the lone survivor, she dresses as a peasant boy and seeks to find who placed the target on her back.

Let me know below what books you plan to read in the month of April!

Thanks for reading!
